A room looks freshly painted when the edges are straight and the colour is even. That comes from the prep: furniture moved and covered, floors protected, holes and cracks filled, and the line where the wall meets the ceiling and trim cut in clean.

Charlotte summers are hot and humid, and spring pollen coats everything. Paint that lasts outside goes on a clean, sound surface: washed, loose paint scraped, gaps sealed and bare wood primed.

New construction painting

On a new build, paint is one of the last trades in and everyone is waiting on it. The work is the same done right: walls checked and touched up after drywall, a primer coat, even finish coats, and crisp trim.

Drywall repair and finishing

Holes, cracks and damaged board repaired and finished smooth, ready for paint.

A repair that disappears is all in the finishing: the damaged board cut back, a new piece set, then tape and thin coats of mud sanded flat and primed before the paint goes on.
